We invite all individuals who would like to offer help to join the League. Educational counselors, teachers, tutors, parents, and students are all welcome to contribute to the effort.
YOUR HELP
IS NEEDED.
Currently, there are multitudes of children and families moving to the US from areas affected by war. Many are not proficient English speakers and are unfamiliar with the American education system, not knowing where to start and lacking the necessary documents. Children need to go back to school while high school students must start thinking about the college application process. Undergraduate and graduate students want to continue their education and are required to submit their transfer documents to American institutions to do so. Meanwhile, parents must quickly get an understanding of social realities and reorganize their life in a new environment.
Educational Consulting
Guide families through the application process for school and college. Both Russian and English-speaking consultants needed.
Language
Tutoring
Help out as an ESL tutor. Anyone with a good understanding of the language is encouraged to step up for this role.
Student Volunteers
Provide peer support and answer questions about the realities of the American educative system. Help out with course material and additional tutoring.
